Steven Sukin, M.D., is committed to providing excellence in urologic care with a focus on a compassionate, patient-focused environment. A board certified urologist, Dr. Sukin is trained in leading edge technology, offering his patients access to the most up-to-date treatment options.

Dr. Sukin offers patients the convenience of two locations; one located in Tomball and the other in The Woodlands, Texas. After receiving his training at The Scott Department of Urology at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Dr. Sukin opened his practice in the suburbs – committed to offering patients access to "Medical Center" level care in their own community.

Dr. Sukin serves the comprehensive urological needs of patients including:

• Robotic-assisted laparoscopic prostatectomy and nephrectomy
• Female urology and female incontinence (bladder leakage) including the trans-obturator sling

Dr. Sukin was the first daVinci Robotic Surgeon in North Houston and the first Urologist in North Houston to perform a Robotic Assisted Laparoscopic Prostatectomy. Additionally he was the first in the region to perform both a Robotic Kidney Removal for Kidney Cancer and a Partial Kidney Removal for Kidney Cancer. Urology Specialists, PA, has performed over 250 robotic procedures. Dr. Sukin alone has performed more than 150.

This new technology offers select prostate cancer patients multiple benefits including reduced pain, shorter recovery time and reduced blood loss. Through continued advances in technology, it is possible to perform many diagnostic and therapeutic procedures using minimally invasive techniques. These new procedures often provide the patient the same benefits of open surgery, however, the need for pain medication is greatly reduced and the time to return to normal activities is significantly shorter. Dr. Sukin provides these options to his patients through procedures such as cryosurgery (for prostate cancer) and laparoscopic nephrectomy (the removal of the kidney through small port sites) as well as Green Light Laser PVP to treat benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH).

From prostate cancer to kidney stones and from vasectomies to stress incontinence, Dr. Sukin offers patients the full spectrum of treatment options and expertise while also taking time to provide patients with the knowledge they need to make an individualized, educated choice.
